Mindful Shopping For Weight Loss

I am on a mission to help you STOP DIETING, ENJOY EATING HEALTHY FOODS THAT SATISFY AND ENERGIZE YOU, AND LOSE WEIGHT.    My tip this month:

Here is one of the most important things I coach my clients on: YOUR HOME NEEDS TO BE A SAFE HARBOR - A SAFE PLACE TO EAT NOURISHING FOODS THAT YOU ENJOY.

In order for your home to be that safe harbor, you must be in charge of what foods are in your home, and that STARTS WITH THE SHOPPING LIST.  Yes, your shopping list and your shopping strategy are vital to your weight loss success.

Here is the truth - often if tempting sugary desserts or super processed foods/snacks are in your home, you EAT THEM.  If you allow these foods into your home too often, then you are relying on WILLPOWER to not eat too much of them.

FOR WEIGHT LOSS, RELYING ON WILLPOWER IS A MISTAKE.

USE YOUR SKILLPOWER INSTEAD!

TWO SKILLS YOU NEED TO DEVELOP:

#1.Plan some of your nourishing breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks for the next few days or week.

#2.Make a grocery list based on your plan.

If you really want to lose weight, you must think and plan ahead.  Get in the driver's seat!

DECIDE TO FILL YOUR HOME WITH FOODS THAT NOURISH, AND KEEP YOUR HOME FREE FROM FOODS THAT MIGHT KEEP YOU FROM YOUR GOALS.  YOUR HOME SHOULD BE YOUR SAFE HARBOR.

I do not demonize foods - ice cream and potato chips are not inherently "bad". But if they are trigger foods for you, meaning you eat too much of them in your home, then you will be healthier and happier if they are NOT in your home.  Maybe occasionally you will have them (I do!) but not on a regular basis.

I have worked with so many women to learn REAL LIFESTYLE STRATEGIES for weight loss.Dieting can put you on the roller coaster of weight loss and weight gain.

Building a healthier lifestyle and powerful eating habits is what works - period.

PRACTICE BEING IN CHARGE OF YOUR EATING. YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT AND FEEL SO MUCH BETTER.
